Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Lower KS2 - SEN Support)
Employer: Tradewind Recruitment (on behalf of a primary school in Stockbridge Village, Knowsley)
Salary: £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata per annum
Additional: SEN Allowance of £1,539 pro rata (where applicable)
Actual Salary: £16,502 - £16,764 per annum + £993 SEN allowance (if applicable)
Hours: 26.25 per week / Term Time Only (46 weeks)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2026 (linked to SEN pupil funding)
Start Date: 3 November 2025
DBS Check: Enhanced
Closing Date: 12pm, Friday 24th October 2025

The Role

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a primary school in the Stockbridge Village area of Knowsley in their search for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This role is long term, working 26.25 hours per week, supporting children in Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3) with a particular focus on pupils with special educational needs. You will be a vital part of the classroom team, providing targeted support to enable every child to access learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent)
Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Lower Key Stage 2
Have prior experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
Be committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is valued
Be adaptable, proactive, and confident working both as part of a team and independently
Demonstrate high expectations for both learning and behaviour
Have strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with pupils, staff, and families
Show dedication to ensuring children make both academic and pastoral progress
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
