Affinity Workforce Solutions are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gloucester seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils across both mainstream and SEN settings, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Each child is unique, and your approach will be adapted to meet their individual needs. You'll work alongside classroom teachers and the SENCO to help pupils achieve their personalised learning goals, often through 1:1 support and small group interventions.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
Helping pupils with their learning, both one-to-one and in small groups
Encouraging children's development through play and structured tasks
Keeping the classroom tidy and ready for learning
Observing and sharing feedback on pupil progress with teaching staffIdeal Candidate Profile

Passionate about working with children and being creative in your approach
Confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
Experience leading a class or group in the absence of a teacher
Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
Friendly, approachable, and committed to inclusive education

Previous experience supporting mental health in an educational or care setting
Educational background or relevant qualifications
Enthusiasm to learn, a great sense of humour, and a growth mindset

This would be a great opportunity for someone that has experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting, but we will also be considering people without this experience.
