Role: Head of Department - Religious Studies
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £34,397 - £52,489 per annum (dependent on experience and pay scale) +TLRHead of Department (Religious Studies) - January 2026

About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding Religious Studies specialist to lead our thriving department. This full-time leadership position will involve teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 while overseeing curriculum development, staff mentoring, and departmental progress. You will play a key role in shaping the spiritual, moral, and cultural awareness of our students, while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

What We're Looking For

Proven Leadership: Experience leading a team or a strong desire to step into departmental leadership.
Subject Expertise: Deep knowledge of Religious Studies and its role in developing critical, reflective learners.
Inspirational Teaching: Ability to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire.
Qualified Teacher: QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
