Maintenance Team Leader - FMCG

Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Up to £58,000 per annum

Days - Monday to Friday

Are you a driven and hands-on Maintenance Team Leader with a background in fast-paced manufacturing? Do you thrive on reducing downtime, driving performance, and leading engineering teams from the front? If so, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We are partnering with a well-established FMCG business in Stonehouse, currently undergoing major investment in automation and process improvement. They are seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to take ownership of daily engineering activities on site - leading a team, improving asset reliability, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate a team of multi-skilled engineers on a daily basis

Drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on uptime, reliability, and safety

Oversee and improve PPM schedules and ensure effective reactive maintenance

Act as the link between engineering and production, ensuring priorities are aligned

Support CAPEX projects, machinery upgrades, and CI initiatives

Mentor and develop engineers, driving technical excellence across the team

Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and engineering standards

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, root cause analysis, and KPIs

What We're Looking For:

Time-served or qualified Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled)

Proven leadership or supervisory experience in an FMCG, food, or high-speed manufacturing environment

Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on knowledge of automated production equipment

Excellent communication and team management skills

A passion for continuous improvement, lean principles, and developing people

Confident working under pressure in a fast-moving production environment
