My client is looking for a Legal Secretary with 1+ years experience working within Private Client to join their team in Cranleigh, Surrey.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly, close-knit team in the heart of Cranleigh village, supporting fee earners with a wide range of secretarial and administrative tasks.

About the Role

As a Legal Secretary in their Private Client team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the department runs smoothly and clients receive an exceptional standard of service. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners, managing documentation, and assisting with front-of-house duties when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing correspondence and legal documentation using a digital dictation system.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate client files and administrative records.
• Handling incoming telephone calls, taking clear messages, and directing enquiries to the appropriate person.
• Meeting and greeting clients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Supporting with diary management, arranging appointments, and booking meeting rooms.
• Assisting with general administrative and reception duties to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy office environment and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Private Client department (wills, probate, trusts, estate planning).
• Excellent typing and digital dictation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• A professional and confident telephone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
• A team-oriented attitude, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
