Manual Machinist / Turner required to join an ever growing and very well-established precision engineering company. Ideal candidate will have experience in Manual Turning and will live within a commutable distance of Halesowen

Manual Machinist Job Overview

To be able to interpret 2D drawing, specifications & route card instructions.
Plan & work out
Dimensional inspection & layout "mark off" of component prior to start of machining.
Operate the machine(s) manually.
When required, basic programming of machine using Siemens controls.
Check / inspect component at various stages of sequence & final inspection to ensure quality standards are achieved.
Trouble shooting & making adjustments where necessary.
Deburring components and ensuring they are safe for material movement.
Use of overhead cranes. (LOLER Training will be provided)
General TPM activities, swarf removal, coolant routine oiling and greasing of machine etc.
Any other duties that maybe asked by team leader / manager that are within capabilities & Health & Safety parameters.

Manual Machinist Job Requirements

Previous experience with Manual Turning
At least 2 years experience within a Manual Lathe Turning &/or deep hole boring position (large scale machines preferred).
The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
Lifting and slinging capabilities
Must live within a commutable distance of Halesowen
Must be available to work shifts - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm

Manual Machinist Salary & Benefits

Full time - permanent
Monday to Friday
Shifts - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pmSalary - £13.48 (plus shift allowance for at least 8 hours of the week, equates to £16.58p/hr)
