Teaching Assistant - SEMH - Secondary

Location - Horley

Start: ASAP

Contract : 12 weeks temp to perm

Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm, Term-time only

Salary - £21,500

We are seeking enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school specialising in social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This rewarding Teaching Assistant role offers the chance to make a real difference to young people's lives, with training provided.

Supporting teaching, learning, and personal development in small groups and 1:1.
Helping students build confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Working inside and outside of the classroom to support SEMH needs and build trusted relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored strategies.
Acting as a role model and championing progress for a key group of pupils.We're looking for:

Empathy, patience, and commitment to supporting young people.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, proactive approach to challenges.
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
