Job Opportunity: PMLD Learning Support Assistant – SEN School | Bordon

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with complex needs? An exceptional SEN school in Bordon is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

📍 Location: Bordon, Hampshire
📅 Start Date: ASAP (pending compliance and vetting)
📄 Contract: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm options available
💰 Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience (daily rate or salary)

About the Role:

As a PMLD Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties. You’ll play a vital role in supporting their learning, care, and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to students with PMLD

*

Assist with personal care, including PEG feeding, hoisting, and suctioning

*

Monitor and support students with epilepsy, following health care plans

*

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

*

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere

Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for individuals with:

Experience supporting PMLD students in a school or care setting

*

PEG Feeding experience

*

Hoist trained

*

Suction trained

*

Epilepsy awareness/trained

*

A patient, caring, and proactive attitude

*

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
