Yard / Warehouse Operative
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: Welham Green, AL9
Due to growth, we are looking to add a colleague to the warehouse team at an established independent Builders Merchant. We are currently looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy yard/warehouse environment.
Job Specification:
* Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift truck, picking orders, and moving stock around the site.
* Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner.
* Checking loaded goods against delivery notes.
* Assisting Trade Counter customers as required.
* Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
* Some manual handling is required.
* Adhering to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
* Shift pattern is 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; Alternate Saturdays, 7am to 1pm.
Person Specification:
* Builders Merchant experience essential, however training will also be given.
* Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team.
* Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
* Be able to follow health and safety regulations. Good communication and customer service skills.
