Vehicle Fitter

* Are you an experienced Vehicle Fitter?

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Fitter to join our well-established client’s dynamic workshop team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Report to the vehicle workshop and assess broken down or damaged vehicles awaiting repair.

* Review the EAM system to identify vehicle faults and communicate priorities with the Site Coordinator.

* Liaise with the Maintenance Team Leader to advise on priority issues or notable jobs throughout the working day.

* Produce Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for parts or specialist labour required for repairs.

* Inform the relevant Team Leader and Maintenance Team Leader upon job completion and mobile plant availability.

* Ensure all work is carried out safely and that vehicles leaving the garage comply with current site regulations.

* Adhere to service schedules and maintain accurate service history records.

* Keep the oil stores safe, clean, and compliant, ensuring all spouts are over bunds.

* Maintain adequate stock levels of keys and parts to efficiently manage breakdowns.

* Assist with or perform repairs on static plant when necessary.

* Maintain certificates for all forks and chains used on Fork-Lift Trucks.

* Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy policies.

Requirements:

* Previous relevant experience as a Vehicle Fitter.

* Apprentice trained with a strong technical background.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Able to use own initiative effectively.

Salary: £41,065 Per Annum.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM – 4:30PM.
