Description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Wallingford who are seeking a skilled and motivated SENCO to join their team. This is a unique role, offering the chance to combine 2 days of classroom teaching with 2 days of SENCO responsibilities, providing the perfect balance of direct teaching and strategic support.

About the Role:

2 days teaching a primary class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

2 days SENCO responsibilities, including leading on SEND provision across the school.

Coordinating with teachers, parents and external agencies to support pupils with additional needs.

Managing and maintaining EHCPs, provision maps and SEN records.

Supporting staff through advice, training and strategies to ensure inclusive practice.

About You:

Hold QTS and have experience teaching within a primary setting.

Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to work towards it.

Have strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.

Be an excellent communicator with the ability to support and inspire both staff and pupils.

Be passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
