Partnership Recruiting is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitter’s on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client in East Lothian. We're looking for hands-on professionals with a strong mechanical background, proven fault-finding ability, and a proactive approach to maintenance in a high-output environment. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified fitter with experience in heavy industry, capable of working independently on shift and contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused maintenance team. Key Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime and support production continuity.

* Diagnose faults, repair and replace defective mechanical components.

* Record maintenance activities accurately using internal IT systems.

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and support overhauls during scheduled downtime periods.

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance team meetings.

* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures, including work permits.

* Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to support business objectives.

* Engage in special engineering projects or upgrades as required.

Candidate Profile:

* Fully qualified mechanical fitter (relevant certification essential).

* Experience working in a heavy mechanical or industrial environment is required.

* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality work.

* Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

* Comfortable using maintenance-related IT systems and tools.

* Proactive, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
