Quantity Surveyor – Healthcare & Residential Projects

£65,000 – £75,000 + car allowance & package

Epping office, with travel to Cambridge

An established main contractor, delivering projects across London and the South East, is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With schemes valued up to £20 million, this role offers the chance to work on high-profile healthcare, education, and residential projects, covering both complex fit-out and new build.

The Quantity Surveyor’s Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management on a landmark £20m healthcare fit-out project in Cambridge, working 2 days on site and 3 days from the office in Loughton.

You will:

Manage all commercial aspects of fit-out and design & build projects.

Lead procurement processes and subcontractor negotiations.

Prepare cost reports, valuations, and forecasts.

Work closely with Project Managers, Directors, and design teams.

Ensure compliance with contracts and deliver projects on budget.

The Quantity Surveyor

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).

Proven track record delivering projects £10m+.

Experience in healthcare, education, residential, or mixed-use sectors.

Strong procurement and contract administration skills.

Client-facing, collaborative, and commercially astute.

Able to commute to Loughton and travel to Cambridge weekly (car required).

up to £75,000 salary (DOE) + car allowance & package.
