Additional Needs Teaching Assistant -  Part Time/Full Time 
Location: Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary and Secondary SEN school in Bristol.

The school caters for children and young people aged 4–19 with a wide range of special educational needs. These include physical disabilities, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, and speech, language and communication needs – though the needs of pupils are not limited to these areas. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in both classroom and 1:1 settings

Assisting with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility when required

Promoting independence, communication, and engagement in learning

Working alongside teaching staff, therapists and support teams to deliver tailored support

Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, ideally in an educational or care setting

Be confident in providing personal care and physical support

Be resilient, patient, and calm in challenging situations

Work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills

Be committed to helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their goals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
