Commissioning Manager

We are currently working with a leading engineering company with a global presence delivering flagship schemes across sectors who are looking for a commissioning manager to join their team delivering a very notable data centre in Saudi Arabia. You will be involved in the project from an early stage, working alongside a talented team, acting as commissioning lead to develop and implement the commissioning programme and manage through to project completion.

Duties:

Pre-Construction Planning:

Developing commissioning plans, conducting commissionability reviews of designs and specifications, and creating commissioning activity schedules.

Commissioning Management:

Overseeing and coordinating the commissioning process, including pre-commissioning activities, testing, and system start-up.

*

Team Leadership:

Managing a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication.

*

Client Communication:

Working closely with clients and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the commissioning process.

Documentation and Reporting:

Preparing and maintaining accurate commissioning documentation, including reports, test results, and checklists.

*

Troubleshooting and Optimization:

Identifying and resolving issues during commissioning, as well as optimizing system performance.

*

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and project specifications.

Required Skills and Experience:

Engineering Degree: A relevant degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services) is typically required.

Commissioning Experience: Experience in commissioning mechanical and/or electrical systems is essential.

Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively manage a team and the commissioning process.

*

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

*

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

*

Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of M&E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.

* Knowledge of Relevant Codes and Standards: Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety protocols.
