Job Title: SEMH Tutor
Location: Henley-on-Thames
Pay: £20–£30 per hour 

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEMH Tutor to support young people in the Henley-on-Thames area. Our students present with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), including low confidence, anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).

Role Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition to students with SEMH needs.

Assess learning needs and plan tailored schemes of work.

Provide engaging, creative lessons that build confidence and resilience.

Record progress and feedback to parents/carers and the wider team.

Support students to re-engage positively with education.

Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years’ proven tutoring experience.

Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support learners.

Patient, empathetic and adaptable teaching style.

Ability to create structured yet flexible learning plans.

Reliable, professional and committed to improving outcomes for young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
