Location: Based on site at Peterhead

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – Eastern Green Link 2, a major HVDC subsea cable development connecting Scotland and England.

This position offers a chance to lead the commercial function on a landmark project shaping the UK’s future energy infrastructure. You’ll join a progressive Tier 1 contractor with a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure work, offering long-term career growth and a collaborative working culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full commercial responsibility for project delivery in line with contractual, financial, and legal obligations

Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring commercial best practice and compliance

Oversee the preparation and agreement of interim applications for payment, final accounts, and contract variations

Work closely with project delivery teams to manage risk and optimise performance

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership and support strategic decision-making

Required Skills & Experience:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

Proven experience as a Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK construction law

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

Ability to manage complex commercial issues while maintaining attention to detail
