Location: NG20 (South Newark / District)
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Pay Scale: M1 - M6 (depending on experience)
Start Date: September / as soon as possible

About the Role

We are supporting a Primary School looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join our friendly primary school located in NG20. You will lead a mixed Year 1/2 class, inspiring and challenging a diverse group of young learners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is excited about early KS1 education and keen to make a difference in a supportive community.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver creative, high‑quality lessons across the Year 1/2 curriculum

Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress, set targets, and adapt teaching accordingly

Support whole‑school priorities, collaborating with colleagues to improve outcomes

Create a safe, caring, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional wellbeing

Your Profile

We are seeking someone who:

Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has experience teaching Year 1 and/or Year 2, ideally in mixed classes

Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in reading, writing, maths, phonics

Can differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and more able

Communicates well with staff, pupils and parents / carers

Is enthusiastic, resilient, reflective and keen to contribute to school life
