Speech and language teaching assistant, September 2020

We are working in partnership with a large primary school in Burgess Hill who are looking to appoint a dedicated teaching assistant to join their team as a specialist Speech and Language Teaching Assistant. This is a perfect role for aspiring Speech and Language Therapists to expand their experience with children. 

This opportunity is designed for a patient and compassionate person who has the skills to work effectively with SEN pupils. The school needs someone who has the ability to present clear explanations that every pupil will be able to engage with.

As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the development of specific children who need individual support with communication and Speech and Language. This is a specialist Speech and Language provision so any previous experience with SLCN would be advantageous. Also, those with experience of PECs and Makaton will be given preference.
