Description

Gas Engineer - We are currently on the lookout for Plumbers/Gas Engineers for contract work beginning in the new year, carrying out domestic installations in the LU/AL/WD postcodes (you don't have to cover all). The work is for a company that has just secured a large contract starting in January for the next 18 months.
The role will require you to install Hybrid Air Source heat pumps. As an ASHP installer you will be expected to have in depth knowledge of all domestic heating systems. Covering design, how they work, how to install and how to fault find.
The system can be specified to work in one of two ways:
1, Replacement of the existing heating source and retrofitting to the existing heating system.
2, Utilising a bivalent system, where the ASHP will work as the primary heat source and the secondary (normally gas or oil fired) for peak demands.
You will install the ASHP externally at a pre-determined location/postcode, to a suitable base or mounting system.
Experience of Air Source Heat Pumps is not essential as there will be an initial 2 day induction period (2 mornings carried out virtually) on the 16th and 17th December before beginning the work in January, however domestic installation experience would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have;
* CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 as a minimum OR NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
In return, the successful engineer will receive £450 per installation (1 day installs).
If you have any electrical qualifications you may be able to do the electrical side as well.
