Role: English Teacher
Location: SK16, SEMH Provision
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per year (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Permanent

Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated and resilient English Teacher for a specialist SEMH secondary provision in Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an English Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The school is looking for an English Teacher who can deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated English lessons, whilst also teaching Science as a secondary subject. As an English Teacher, you will be joining a supportive team that works collaboratively to ensure every pupil receives a tailored and inclusive education.

English Teacher Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver inspiring English lessons as a committed English Teacher
Teach Science as a secondary subject, adapting lessons to suit diverse needs
Differentiate learning to support pupils with SEMH, behavioural challenges, and additional needs
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment as an English Teacher
Track progress, assess learning, and provide constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers
Uphold safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing at all times
Model resilience, patience, and adaptability as a proactive English TeacherEnglish Teacher Requirements:

QTS is essential - do not apply if you do not hold QTS
Experience teaching English in secondary settings (Science knowledge desirable)
Previous experience working with SEMH or additional needs is highly beneficial
Excellent behaviour management and the ability to engage pupils with creative strategies
Commitment to a long-term, full-time permanent role as an English Teacher
