We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team and help support children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

What you’ll be doing:

Provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children aged 7 to 16 with a wide range of emotional, social and mental health difficulties
Plan, deliver and evaluate therapy treatment programmes as agreed in the child’s EHCP
Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team and multi-agency teams involved with children and their families, contributing to team meetings, consultations, joint assessments, reviews and staff training.
What we’re looking for:

Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration
previous experience of working in a special school setting or in a CAMHS service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and student support.

Our focus is on maximising every child’s potential to develop into a confident, resilient, and skilled young person who will make a positive contribution to society and live as independent a life as possible.

Fernways School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
