Job Title: Early Years (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Location: Brierley Hill (DY5)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Long term, 5 days

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Smart Education are working with a small but welcoming, Catholic Primary School in Brierly Hill. The school are seeking an Early Years (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join their team, working within their pre-school class. This position is 5 days per week, until the end of the academic year with the potential to be rolled over to the next academic year.

This school focuses heavily on inclusion and ensuring that no pupil is left behind. This has resulted in the school being awarded an Ofsted rating ‘Good’ on their latest inspection. For this role, the school have said that SEND experience is admirable but not essential for their Early Years Teaching Assistants. Their ideal candidate is someone who will be able to use their skills and knowledge to enable them to use their initiative in all aspects of the job.

A successful candidate must have a level 2 EYFS qualification to be considered for this role. Having Paediatric First Aid qualification would be admired.

Job Requirements:

* Level 3 EYFS Qualification (or relevant subject)

* Valid Child's Enhanced DBS certificate

* Clear understanding of Safeguarding surrounding children

* Previous experience working in an Early Years setting/ Nursery
