Description

Manthorpe Building Products is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of plastic injection moulded, vacuum formed and extruded products for the building industry.
The purpose of the role is to assist with the maintenance, repair, and ongoing upkeep of operations equipment and services. Continuing to learn skills to further develop and carry out various tasks, whilst being fully compliant to all corporate and legislative standards and guidelines.
Workings hours:
Monday to Friday on Rotational Shift:
06:00 - 14:30
14:00 - 22:30
Key Responsibilities:
*
To service various machines to the set schedule, maintaining a high quality of work throughout.
*
Perform breakdowns in a time critical environment with a right first-time approach.
*
Provide technical support to the other employees, with the ability to troubleshoot and fault find.
*
Maintain a suitable stock level of wear and tear items within the workshop, highlighting low items and getting quotes for replacements.
*
Trained to a high level of lifting operations, able to undertake any given lifting task onsite.
*
Communicate with other members of the management team with issues.
*
Able to assist with the installation of machines and undertake a variety of projects around the site where required.
*
Role model behaviour to other members of staff.
*
Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure health and safety compliance.
*
Being competent in carrying out manual handling tasks within the workplace.
*
Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full while maintaining a safe working environment.
*
Ensure all waste products are separated into their designated containers for safe disposal.
*
To have excellent time keeping skills and be able to meet production requirements.
*
Comply with company and statutory Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and other policies, and procedures.
*
Assist in identifying areas of improvement within your area, promoting continuous improvement activities, to help eliminate waste and improve safety, engagement & efficiency.
Skills & Requirements:
*

Willing to learn new skills & Good communication and people skills.
*
Works well as part of a team, and on their own initiative to achieve company goal.
*
How to use an overhead crane safely and correctly, and the correct safe use of lifting equipment.
*
A knowledge and understanding of machines, with the ability to understand electrical components.
*
Ability to multitask to a high level of detail, and high standards in all work undertaken.
*
Excellent understanding of mechanical devices, and how they work to repair them quickly.
*
Demonstrates the potential for problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, and is willing to engage in practical tasks and projects to further develop their skills.
*
Strong commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability practices.
*
