Head Chef, Country Inn, Somerset

Circa £35K plus live in/relocation package

Rosette standard dining, new opening

Dish are delighted to be recruiting a head chef for this stunning newly refurbished Country Inn with rooms in the beautiful Somerset country side, set within commutable distance of Yeovil, Taunton & Salisbury, this period property is in the process of a very tactful refurbishment, including an overhaul of the kitchen & equipment, the independent owners are looking to recruit an experienced Head chef to head up the kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

-An understanding of current trends, seasonal & local produce

-Experience throughout your career working within a fresh food environment

-5 star, rosette head chef is the ideal, although sous chefs with a solid fresh food background will be considered

-A steady progression on your CV, no jumpy chefs here, minimum 3 years at sous chef or above

-Proven example of managing & building teams

-Understanding of latest dietary requirements, HACCP, EHO controls & H&S standards

-Knowledge of kitchen management, budgets, rota's & costings is needed, although in depth training can be given here

-Experience working within a management team

The head chef will become a part of the management team, and as such will need to be comfortable with the GM & knowledgeable owners having an input into the food development of the business, the venue has plans for a 'pub hub' shop on site, and a cookery school in the future, so a very exciting project to be involved with from the opening, which is due May time.
