A specialist plastics manufacturing company with over 50 years of expertise is seeking a Quality Support Engineer to join their team.

Working within an established quality department, you will oversee processes on the shop floor while supporting the Senior Quality Engineer in the office. Operating mainly in an automotive environment, this role requires a hands-on approach to quality as well as customer-facing skills.

Package: Up to £40,000, 33 days holiday, career progression

As Quality Engineer, your duties will include:

Conducting first-offs, last-offs, and sample inspections
Providing customer support
Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality documentation
Assisting with preparing QC SOPs and reviewing product specifications
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance

For the role of Quality Engineer, we're looking for:

A strong background in Quality Engineering with solid knowledge of automotive manufacturing
Experience with APQP (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts) and PPAP
An understanding of CMM
Experience in root cause analysis and non-conformity management
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
