HSE Business Partner

Our prestigious manufacturing client based close to Norwich are currently seeking a HSE Business Partner to join their highly reputable company.

This is full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday based in Wroxham.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001/45001

* Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to roduction/manufacturing environment

* NEBOSH general certificate, IOSH or other H&S industry recognised qualification.

* Understanding of production of yachts or other similar large products with long build times, preferable

* Competent user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Presentation skills, both preparation of PowerPoint presentations and delivery to a variety of audiences

* Experience of performing an HSE advisory or partnering role within production/ manufacturing industry, preferably marine.

* Partnering management teams on HSE compliance and best practices.

* Conducting audits and actions plans.

* Training - planning, organizing and delivery of.

* RIDDOR regulations.

* Managing third party suppliers.

* Display Screen Equipment assessments.

* Occupational Health Surveillance, relating to production workforce.

* Experience of HAVS management is desirable.

* Experience of COSHH management is desirable.

Main Responsibilities of the HSE Business Partner Role:

* A single point of control/reference for all (managers and employees) providing competent advice for all HSE issues in accordance with statutory requirements and Company policies and procedures.

* Ensuring that accidents and incidents are documented and tracked, with appropriate remedial actions and learning implemented accordingly.

* Ensure the practice of regular Risk Assessment, with ongoing review and update as required.

* Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators for Health, Safety and Environmental.

* Ensure statutory, mandatory and company training requirements are met in relation to Health, Safety and Environment and this is tracked, monitored and reported on.

* Maintain and further develop the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) training matrix.

* Create, refresh and or edit Company policies, procedures and processes relating to Health, Safety and Environment.

* Lead on fire drills, marshalling and training, where applicable.

* Organise and deliver induction training where required.

* Management of external specialist suppliers or consultant to ensure a comprehensive provision of HSE for the organisation.

* Collaborative working with HR on workforce health, safety and well-being.

* Conduct HSE audits, collate findings, make recommendations and work with management to address non-conformance and take corrective action.

* Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant HSE and welfare at work legislation, and communicate relevant changes to the business, as needed.

As the a HSE Business Partner, you will partner with the Production management and wider management team and employees at local sites ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and best practice procedures and processes are in place.
