Hiring - Electrical Project Engineer (Iceland) | HV Substation Project

Location: Iceland
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 18 months

We are currently hiring for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer on a high-voltage substation project in Iceland.

You will play a key part in overseeing the construction and commissioning of high-voltage substations, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and the client to deliver a safe, high-quality project on time.

Key duties:

*

Reporting to the Project Manager on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and ensuring the project is completed safely and without major issues.

*

Analysis of all design documentation and identification of any scope gaps.

*

Coordinate the work of various engineering teams and specialists, ensuring effective communication and collaboration including liaising with engineers, suppliers and site personnel to resolve technical issues

*

Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines

*

Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including project managers, senior management, and clients.

*

Review quality on site – walking down systems to ensure compliance with project team.

*

Prepare and maintain project documentation, test records, and progress reports

*

Participate in FOK, inspections, and quality checks

*

Adherence to H&S standards

Requirements:

*

Relevant 3rd Level Electrical Qualification

*

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the construction installation and commissioning of HV Substations

* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.

*

Excellent organisational and planning skills.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

*

Strong knowledge of HV/MV systems, protection & control, and SCADA integration

*

Ability to work in a rotational, project-based environment

Package & benefits:

€140,000 - €160,000 pa (depending on experience)

*

30 days holidays (including public holidays)
