Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Tiles and Kitchen Worktops

Area to be covered: South East and Anglia

Based: near Greater London

Postcodes: SO, RG, PO, GU, RH, BN, TN, ME, CT, SS, CM, AL, HP, LU, SG, MK, NN, CB, CO, IP, PE, NR & Greater London

Remuneration: £45,000-£55,000 + Up to £12,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Tiles and Kitchen Worktops will involve:

* Field sales role selling a manufactured range of wall & floor ceramic tiles, and large format slabs for kitchen worktops

* 40% of your time managing and developing the established tile business in the South East which consists of circa 30 tile distributors who service customers buying direct from Spain (80% of turnover, approx. £750,000) and another 30-35 independent bathroom retailers, where customers buy from UK subsidiary ( another £350,000 turnover)

* 60% of your time new business development role, growing a small number of 3-4 stonemasons/ worktop fabricators to achieve a target at circa £250,000 year one of £500,000 year Two

* Circa 15 customer visits per week

* Overnight stays when required, and travel 3-4 times a year to Spain and Italy

* Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retailers as required

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Porcelain and Ceramic Tiles with:

* Must have either tile or kitchen worktops field sales experience

* 2 years+ field sales experience

* Prior experience of having sold into tile distributors, merchants, retail showrooms, stonemasons or worktop fabricators

* Hardworking

* Honest

* Willing to travel/ stay overnight when required

* Professional and prepared with strong organisation and territory management capability

* Prepared to do high UK mileage and happy to travel abroad when required
