This is a hands-on leadership role for a safety professional who is ready to step up, lead from the front, and drive safety excellence on one of Europe’s most exciting Data Centre builds.

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven EHS Manager or Safety Advisor to take a leading role on a major Data Centre project in the Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a top-tier international main contractor known for delivering high-value, mission-critical facilities across Europe.

In this role, you will work closely with the Project Director, with a dotted reporting line to the European Group Head of Safety. You will have full responsibility for health and safety on-site, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned to the highest safety standards from day one.

Success in this role depends on your ability to build strong working relationships with the client, internal project teams, and subcontractors. You must be a proactive, hands-on professional who can inspire safety-first thinking across a diverse, multi-cultural construction workforce.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute project-specific HSSE strategies

* Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and conduct regular audits and inspections

* Oversee incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis

* Act as a visible leader and advisor for all safety matters on site

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors

* Foster a culture of continuous safety improvement

Requirements

* NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a safety management or advisory role within construction

* Proven experience working for main contractors or subcontractors

* Solid knowledge of build and civil engineering environments

* Previous Data Centre project experience preferred

* EU/UK passport preferred due to visa/work permit requirements

* Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage but not essential
