We’re hiring for a Transport Planner to join a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Glossop.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on organisation and communication to make a real difference in the day-to-day running of a dynamic logistics operation.
What’s on offer?
* Up to £30,000 per year
* Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (early finish Fridays)
* 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a Transport Planner?
* Handling goods dispatch throughout the day and providing documentation post-loading
* Managing export shipping requirements (including delivery notes, invoices & dangerous goods notes)
* Organising shipments and liaising with freight forwarders and customers
* Planning transport routes and trailer utilisation
* Assisting the shop floor with bookings and logistics
* Monitoring fuel usage, shipment schedules, and pre-paid accounts
* Organising contract hauliers and providing cover for the Distribution Manager
* Receiving purchase orders and coordinating internal delivery requirements
What do you need?
* Previous experience in a similar logistics or planning role
* Strong IT and administration skills
* Background in a manufacturing or fast-paced supply chain environment
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
