About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Billing Process Specialist to join our team in Swindon, Wiltshire. 
Your role will be to inform and validate controls and process documentation from a technical perspective, ensuring that data definitions are clear and accurate and that documented processes deliver the correct system outcomes.
Key areas of accountability will include:  

Understanding our end to end processes and define our operational controls to enable us to effectively manage, report on and continually improve our processes
Identify and implement initiatives required to drive improvements to bring processes back within agreed control limits, such as first-time yield, timeliness, cost, quality, demand volume and productivity
Assure the safe and effective delivery of customer and business outcomes
Act as a delivery vehicle for mobilising and underpinning the defined customer journeys from Customer Design and in line with our strategic priorities
Be the conduit between Process Excellence and the Delivery Team.
Provide access and explanation of existing process documentation such as maps and Exception Resolution Documents
Support in the definition and description of process controls
Support in the creation of process documentation, including process maps and Standard Operating Procedures, using system access and understanding to provide screen images where required
Ensure that knowledge is shared across the delivery team, upskilling technical SME’s where required to improve team effectiveness
Stress test processes to find errors, gaps and improvement opportunities
Understanding whether delivery matches design
Lead and/or support in the delivery of improvement initiatives within the pillar, ensuring this is completed to a high standard and in line with governance requirements
Contribute to structured root cause problem solving sessions and drive creating thinking within the team To be successfull in the role you will have the following skills and experience:

Experienced In-depth understanding of end to end billing and collection processes
Knowledge of current and emerging billing and collection techniques, technologies and legislation
Experience of implementing and embedding change e.g. new channels
Solid understanding of billing compliance and regulations
Proven record of planning, prioritising and implementing a plan
Experience of working in a large-scale customer centric organisation
Experience of Lean and Agile methodologies
Knowledge or experience of Debt Manager 9 would be advantageous
