Company Overview Overview: Support Market production by providing strategic sales, marketing and service support to the leadership team and field. Develop and implement strategies that assist in consistently promoting bank wide campaigns, reinforcing behaviors and encouraging the achievement of sales and service goals while driving market specific efforts to uncover additional opportunities for revenue with a team in the field. Primary Responsibilities: - Act as a resource provider to support bank, market needs and drive local market strategies. Serve as subject matter expert for Retail Banking sales process, related initiatives and metrics including customer experience, sales process, relationship management, reporting and incentives specifically Onboarding, Relationship Management, CCM and ezLeads. Work with local Retail Leadership to ensure that branches are able to meet service and sales goals by reviewing and analyzing reports and programs and be willing to make recommendations on how to improve overall results. - Coach, reinforce and inspect the M & T Way Sales Process and the Business First Calling Process including the use of the sales tools and resources available to the field to ensure the sales force understands how to use it and they are widely adopted. - Evaluate process/program results against established performance measures such as customer satisfaction, business results or activities, and adoption rates to ensure desired end results. - Ensure consistent awareness and communication within the Retail Bank around new bank strategies, upcoming releases and growth results to the field. - Manage and execute the creation and delivery of skill-based sessions that develop the sales team around product knowledge, soft skills and driving bank growth - Develop and drive strong working relationships with the Retail bank and external partners in the communities in which we serve. Create and execute an outreach strategy to connect with critical stakeholders in order to promote further partnerships to drive growth in each market. - Identify areas to drive growth & improve experience; work with corporate resources (Deposits, Marketing, Performance Enablement, etc.) to take concepts from ideation to implementation and share best practices across all markets. - Empower an integrated customer experience by promoting One Connected Bank for any servicing or sales needs, delivering convenience and a simplified banking experience - Identify and drive collaborative efforts with business partners to improve the customer experience, specifically expanding partnerships with TCC, Digital and Business Banking to help reinforce the drive towards one Connected Bank. - Oversee New Hire / Onboarding Program, proactively assessing the education needs for the market while also Identifying and developing bench strength within each role - Collaborate with the Education Team to continue to develop and assist in delivering materials that will enhance the overall skill depth of our sales force and provide for consistency in approach across the network. Leads the implementation of employee training related to sales strategy through direct reports. - Work with Product Management, Marketing, Learning & Development / Education to coordinate sales strategies pertaining to the Retail branch network and digital banking platform, including developing sales methodologies, the way we sell and how we train employees - Provide ongoing support for the branch-based, Business Banking Partnership as we focused on a combined shared services mindset - Act as a resource provider to support market needs and drive local market strategies around (product/pricing/segmentation strategy/marketing/digital banking, etc.) - Plan all Market or Regional events, meetings or off-sites as needed. Play an integral role in Retail Bank- wide efforts such as Branch Manager Conferences or Retail Administration initiatives. - Coordinate with local leadership to execute on external efforts such as M & T Money Mentor/@Work events, volunteer efforts, community events, College events, NFL Partnerships etc. - Take an active role in all community and charitable initiatives in the market. Take part in charitable committee meetings, if available. Support partnerships with Business Banking, M & T Securities, Middle Market, Trust, Regional Presidents and Mortgage. - Monitor adherence to the local market budgets as required by each market such as ad promo, officer meetings, employee welfare, Travel and Entertainment etc. to ensure the appropriate allocation of funds for maximum exposure and return for localized marketing initiatives. - Work with our business partners, Channel Strategy and Distribution, Brand Integration, Finance and Project Management along with local leadership to ensure the M & T brand standards are being implemented. Ensure that the M & T brand is effectively displayed and leveraged through merchandising, community support and sales initiatives. Work closely with all partners to support any branch openings, relocations, consolidations or renovations. - Conduct training and coaching sessions with branch personnel to promote the M & T brand and educate staff on incorporating the brand standards into their customer interactions (M & T Way). Help local sales and management staff motivate M & T employees to live the M & T brand each and every day. - Train and coach M & T employees on various merchandising components within the branch, this would include the various static merchandising fixtures, kiosks, service desks, and merchandising. Ensure retail employees are coached on the benefits of utilizing the merchandising tools during the sales process. - Ensure that in-branch signage and communications are aligned and coordinated with the Brand Integration and Internal and Retail Communications team to support any branch signage needs as well as branch consolidations, relocations, renovations, and remodels. - Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. - Promote an environment that supports diversity, inclusion and belonging at all times. - Maintain M & T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. - Complete other related duties as assigned for the bank and/or specific market/region you support. Education and Experience Required: - Bachelors degree and 5 years relevant experience, OR in lieu of a degree, - A combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience including 4 years relevant experience 2 Year of work leadership Experience Location Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States of America Recommended skills Securities (Finance) Management Merchandising Retailing Banking Sales
