Shift Requirements 1st Shift About The Opportunity Position Summary To design, build, maintain and improve all automation equipment to accommodate production and warehousing in a safe working atmosphere. Act as front line leader for technical knowledge on highly complex automation or equipment problems. Work with outside contractors and vendors for implementing and maintaining equipment and needed inventories. Communicate with Technical Manager, Engineering and any other ORBIS personnel regarding activities which affect safety, quality or production. Train co-workers while developing harmony in the work place. Key Duties And Responsibilities - Maintain (troubleshoot, repair) all automation and mechanical equipment for consistent production - Operate all equipment if needed (presses, conveyors, crane, forklifts, boom lifts, etc) - Program, write, design and run diagnostics on all robots - Work on Automation preventative maintenance daily - Maintains all programs, drawings, schematics, computer cables, etc relative to Automation - Review and complete open work orders relative to Automation and EOAT - Get quotes on labor, materials, etc for work performed by outside contractors with regards to new projects - Continuously improve, design, build or fabricate tools or equipment needed to maintain a safe, ergonomic, efficient working atmosphere - Attend all required meetings - Maintain good housekeeping at all times, - Check stocks periodically, maintain adequate inventory - Train co-workers on any new or modified EOATs, programming or new practices as necessary - Maintain a professional attitude at all times - Provide leadership and assistance to all shifts with regard to Automation problems - Be available after hours to support all shifts with problems regarding ORBIS facilities and work overtime as needed - Stay current with Automation technology changes and trends - Other duties as assigned - Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed) - Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities Education / Certifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Desired Technical Degree Skills & Experience Work Experience Required 2-5 years experience in industry related field Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired - Must be up to date with all current robot systems, all programs and programming in current use - Mandatory completion of all training in Maintenance matrix - Able to use technical equipment and tools to troubleshoot any problems associated with plant equipment - Must be computer literate and organized in regards to purchasing, inventory and design and be up to date with drawings that have to do with maintaining equipment and the building side of plant operations - Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Additional Requirements Travel Requirements Moderate About ORBIS Corporation Menasha Corporation () is a leading corrugated and plastic packaging manufacturer and supply chain solutions provider specializing in retail merchandising, packaging and displays, plastic reusable containers and pallets, protective packaging interiors, and packaging supply chain and fulfillment services.
