Responsibilities and Outputs This position is responsible for servicing their customers (manufacturing) within the departments by visually selecting batch controlled material to be picked with a computer tablet in AX and physically staged to a specific production order for operations. The picking of these orders will be based on current schedules and with regards to practices developed/refined and priorities given by Business Planers. Assuring there are enough orders and hours picked for the work centers in the heijunka pockets to keep the lines running throughout your shift and beyond. Reconcile remaining components on each production order through journal records; remove remaining material from orders and placing order pool in returned status. Continuous support in the drop area for returning of material from the end of run staging location that didnt get consumed by manufacturing production orders. This will include analyzing pick records, making adjustment corrections and or transfers in AX back to the proper bin locations. This includes a review and verification of journal transfers in AX and movement of material physically back to the proper storage bins. This position is responsible for analyzing inventory records to discover root causes for profit/loss adjustments and suggesting solutions that will resolve these types of issues. Improve overall accuracy within the guidelines of all items being batch controlled. Effective communication to cross-functional teams specifically line operators, department Team Leaders, ICTs, receiving and Business Planers to determine if changes are necessary that could affect priorities for production so that schedules are maintained in the most efficient manner. This will ensure production issues between shifts are managed with minimal or no interruption to production line. Must complete assigned physical inventory counts to include Areas of Management and reconcile the inventory records for a complete and accurate count. Responsible for communicating inventory levels to Team Leader to ensure continued operations and avoid inventory shortages. Assuring good housekeeping practices are being followed in and around all materials. Assuring that warehouse locations are labeled, organized, inventory levels are accurate and material flow is streamlined. Responsible for working with Team Leader on the development of inventory accuracy measurements (baseline development) and steady improvement of the accuracy. Training of new employees on fork lifts, order pickers and request for visual testing when complete. Education and Work Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required 1-2 years of work experience preferred in IC related roles in a Manufacturing environment Thorough knowledge of MRP or similar ERP systems Ability to obtain a fork lift and order picker permit within one month of hire - driver license required Ability to learn the hazards and safety precautions relating to fork lift operation, loading and unloading of materials from warehouse racking to maintain clean driving record Ability to work on several tasks at the same time Ability to work under time pressure, meet deadlines and multitask Ability to work effectively as an individual performer or as a member of a team Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines Ability to conduct cycle counts and analyze inventory adjustments Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees Ability to train other workers effectively Knows and understands material flow through operations Knows and understands system requirements (AX) required to process production order material issues and returns Good communicator to all levels of the organization Working knowledge of contemporary LEAN manufacturing practices Should have basic understanding of Microsoft Office products and computer literacy Ability to retain item numbers/bin locations Ability to analyze inventory problems and develop lasting solutions Ability to use measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, rulers, weight scales where reading is direct and obvious Knowledge in weight conversions Ability to read work orders, pick lists, etc. Ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions and subtractions Ability to identify and list production data We are seeking a diverse applicant pool to ensure the diversity of our team reflects the end consumers we serve through our self-care mission.
