Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

The Psychiatrist will be the lead Psychiatric management provider for the Eating Disorder Residential and Partial Hospitalization Program.

Provide overall psychiatric coverage for assigned Partial Hospitalization and Residential programs

Be the physician of record for all patients in the assigned programs, with regard to treatment, documentation and insurance claims

Provide appropriate psychiatric services (i.e. initial evaluations and medication monitoring sessions) as requested in other OBH programs

Attend/lead team meetings in assigned programs

Conduct initial Psychiatric Assessment evaluations and on-going re-assessments

Completes diagnoses and psychotropic medication prescriptions as appropriate and continued medication monitoring

Completes review of medical/ psychiatric history and physicals, reviewing labs/ EKGs, monitoring blood levels, medication management, as indicated

Provide phone back-up coverage to staff during 24/7 operating hours

Review and approve all assessments and treatment plans as needed

Conduct managed care appeals, as needed

Participate in periodic medical staff meetings

Coordination with clinical staff and the primary care physician or medical specialists when appropriate

Ensures clients are prescribed ample medications at discharge and on-going after care

Responsibility to coordinate and complete the peer review process

Perform peer reviews as needed

Provide support, resources, and training to non-clinical staff as needed

Provide scheduled supervision for assigned CRNPs and PAs within the organization

Attend Leadership meetings and other administrative meetings as needed

Technical Competencies: Psychiatrically lead a strong clinical program able to effectively meet the needs of the client, positive relationships with internal and external customers, adult residential programs are fiscally responsible and contributing to the success of the corporation.

Education, Experience:

Board Certification in Psychiatry with a valid license to practice in this Commonwealth. Minimum of two (2) years treating Eating Disorder Psychiatric medicine. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, OMHSAS, RTFA, PHP) Background in Diabilumia preferred. Knowledge of HIPPA laws, state licensing regulations, trainings as required. Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ECR.
