We are currently looking for a Director of Sales Operations to join our Sales and Marketing team in Allegan Mi and then eventually move to Perrigos new offices in Grand Rapids in 2022. Job_Purpose * Directly responsible for leading the U.S. Consumer Selfcare Sales Operations team for the store brand business and providing oversight to the branded sales support teams and related processes. * The incumbent is accountable to ensure all customer requirements, deadlines and expectations are met once an item is sold in, working internally with cross functional teams to break down barriers and ensure voice of customer is heard by solving problems that could impact Sales and or Operating income targets. * Leads the development of, and the continuous improvement of, the sales process and its connectivity to internal process execution and ultimately the customer. * Leads & develops robust sales performance analytics, scorecards and KPIs that drive accountability to sales targets and key initiatives as well as enabling Sales teams with access to data and analysis that allows data driven decision making. * Manages the Sales pipeline data and ensures opportunities, risks and sales forecast inputs are accurate and communicated effectively to all internal teams, and the rest of Sales leadership, ensuring accountability to results. * Leads all technology development in and management of related sales or customer systems, partnering with IT&S for the evolving needs of the business. * The incumbent is part of the Sales Sr. Leadership Team recommending solutions to business problems, then working to resolve. * Operates as the Sales team primary liaison to the business units ensuring accountability to business unit specific KPIs and communication of opportunities, risks, initiatives Sales is pursuing to drive business unit revenue targets or maximize profit. Knowledge_And_Experience * Thorough understanding of Perrigo functions & processes. Demonstrated ability to lead, direct and collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and achieve results. * Has demonstrated leadership acumen. Can effectively articulate a vision, manage resources and collaboratively develop and execute business strategies to achieve desired results. Must be able to clearly articulate expectations, monitor/manage progress and implement actions to achieved desired results. Must be a mentor and develop subordinates to ensure sustainable performance and professional growth of staff. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercises considerable latitude in determining approaches toward achieving objectives within agreed-upon scope. * Demonstrated analytic experience developing metrics, analysis and KPIs that drive action to results * Bachelor s degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field. * Ten plus years of relevant business experience with progressively responsible management experience. At least three years in sales, marketing or business analytical roles strongly preferred. MAJOR_DUTIES:_ * Directly responsible for leading, and setting the vision for, the U.S. Consumer Selfcare Sales Operations team for the store brand business and providing oversight to the branded sales support teams and related processes. The incumbent is accountable to ensure all customer requirements, deadlines and expectations are met once an item is sold in, working internally with cross functional teams to break down barriers and ensure voice of customer is heard by solving problems that could impact Sales and or Operating income targets. Leads the development of, and the continuous improvement of, the sales process and its connectivity to internal process execution and ultimately the customer. Ensures effectiveness and efficiency of Sales and customer process management, sales samples, pricing administration and control, promotions project management and new or lost business coordination. Accountable for sales deal approval process and control, customer contracts and sales data governance. Ensures department staffing, processes and procedures are optimized to achieve established results and compliance expectations. * The incumbent is part of the Sales Leadership Team recommending solutions to business problems, then working to resolve. Operates as the Sales team primary liaison to the business units and corporate functions ensuring accountability to business unit specific KPIs, Sales pipeline, forecasts as well as communication of opportunities, risks and initiatives Sales is pursuing to drive business unit revenue targets or maximize profit. Facilitates communication and execution of key initiatives, goals and business issues to the Sales team needs to act on. * Leads & develops robust sales performance analytics, scorecards and KPIs that drive accountability to sales targets and key initiatives as well as enabling Sales teams with access to data and visual analysis that allows data driven decision making. Manages the Sales pipeline data and ensures opportunities, risks and sales forecast inputs are accurate ensuring accountability to results. Identifies risks and UDEs; measure results, drives accountability and implements activities to improve performance and mitigate risk. * Accountable for the development of Sales technology and systems strategy, functionality, process and training of staff on working with IT&S to ensure proper engagement and control. Works to ensure systems enable the Sales team simplifying the Sales process and ensuring accurate visibility to the Sales pipeline and KPIs required to monitor and ensure delivery of results. * Leads the facilitation of all Sales HR requirements, job descriptions, performance management, training programs and sales bonus program design.
