SharePoint Administrator / SharePoint 2nd Line IT Support & Projects

Fantastic opportunity to join a multi-national, household name business, as the first hire into a specialist new team supporting SharePoint, following the decision to bring SharePoint capability in-house (from outsourced/3rd party). This is a 2nd line IT Support position, specifically for SharePoint services, supporting projects and developing SharePoint and Office 365 opportunities.

Huge career progression opportunity, as the first into this new function which will grow in time. You will work closely with other technical specialists (SCCM, O365) and have a dedicated £5k p/a training budget, specifically for further upskilling you.

SharePoint Online underpins the Microsoft product stack for this business of tens-of-thousands of employees, which has adopted a "cloud first" approach. As such your work will be critical to the success of the Microsoft Product stack in heavy use and expanding across the organisation, including O365, Teams and continued adoption and development of Power Platform Apps, workflows etc.

Your work will span;

Security; creating security groups, access and editing permissions etc
Maintenance; of the SharePoint platform, servers and intranet. Regular patching, updates etc
System Usage; monitoring system usage. Managing space - deletion/archiving of files and disused website etc.
Continuous Improvement; design, configuration migration of databases, folders, sites etc for better functionality and effectiveness.
Provisioning SharePoint sites; to demand from the business, using templated approach
Training; including creating knowledge articles, manuals etc
What you'll need:

SharePoint product knowledge and experience
Wider Microsoft product experience; O365/SPO/Power Platform
Experience of working in structured support/service environments, ideally ITIL certified
Strong understanding of IT products, infrastructure - ideally in cloud/SaaS
Nintex experience or knowledge is desirable, but not essential (process management and workflow automation)
Skilled in MS SQL Server
Skilled in PowerShell
HTML & JavaScript skills preferable, but not essential

Paying between £24k and £29k salary depending on experience, plus standard corporate benefits
