Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
You know that an out of action overhead crane will come at a massive cost to the business you work for......
That's why you are on hand for inspections and preventative maintenance, not just for safety reasons but to ensure that your overhead crane is working to its optimum performance level.
- Checking for cracks and open welds.
- Making sure that transmission shaft seat, gearbox, coupling, shaft & key are all in order.
- Checking the brake wheel clearance.
- Is the reducer leaking oil?
Breakdowns happen and you are on hand to deal with these.
We need you to hit the ground running you need to bring your knowledge to the table on this one!
We are looking for an Multi Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias, who ideally has a good understanding of Siemens S7, to complete both the preventative maintenance schedule and respond to breakdowns on a wide range of machinery including Pumps, hydra systems, conveyors, trolleys, to name a few, the company are making investments into robotics so will need you to carry out planned preventative maintenance work on these too,
You and your team are the superheroes, one of you is on call (which you will be rewarded for) 1 week a month to swoop in and fix any Mechanical or Electrical breakdowns!
You will be someone who thinks on their feet, is in your element when you are applying root cause analysis to solve a problem!
Here is a little about the company:
They are part of a group of businesses, the employees they have working there, have been with the business for years. They look after their staff; they have recently launched their values programme and are investing in employee benefit schemes.
They carry out traditional processes but are looking into new ways of investing in new processes too, so you will be part of that and be able to get your hands on new tools and machinery.
You might be someone with on-the-job training, maybe you've worked your way up through the apprentice root or you may hold an engineering degree, either way if you have the experience I've talked about, let's talk, but you need to bring hands on Electrical Maintenance experience to the table.
You may have worked for a foundry a quarry a port or even in logistics, if you are the go-to person when something breaks, and you know your way around an overhead crane then I want to hear from you.

They reward well here, £21 per hour, 8-4:30pm, Monday - Friday (and there is an opportunity to top those earnings up on the weeks you are on call)
