I am currently in need of a Design Manager for a Tier 1 main contractor based in the central London area to join the existing design team on delivering a mixture of residential, commercial, education and healthcare projects.

Key duties will be -

Regular meetings with the production team and ensuring all technical issues are addressed immediately
Manage and coordinate external consultants
Prepare technical specifications
Liaise with key personnel within the project team in preparation of project costing and design works
Control the design process, from planning application through to project completion
Ensure consultants prepare the detailed design by Employers Requirement and Contractors Proposals
Manage and review the design development process ensuring value engineering and buildability are consideredKey Experience - ideally you will have experience of managing residential & commercial projects through the full RIBA process and come from either an architecture or operational background

Package - Depending on experience my client are looking to pay a competitive basic salary between £65,000 - £75,000 plus package and are looking to start the candidate within the next 4 weeks dependant on the candidate availability.
