Description

PSHE Teacher – KS3/4

Location: Hillingdon
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long Term - Perm
Salary: £21,731 - £49,084

We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated and flexible PSHE Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality PSHE education to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting the personal development and well-being of young people, particularly those who may face additional barriers to learning.

This position is available for immediate start and offers the chance to work within a supportive and inclusive educational setting that values relationship-building, restorative practices, and trauma-informed approaches.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

*

Have experience teaching in a secondary setting, preferably delivering PSHE or similar curriculum areas (e.g., Citizenship, Health & Social Care, or pastoral/mentoring roles).

*

Be confident in managing behaviour and creating a safe, respectful and engaging classroom environment.

*

Be able to build positive relationships quickly with students, many of whom may have SEMH needs, or be diagnosed/undiagnosed with SEN.

*

Be adaptable and resilient, with the ability to respond effectively to the needs of students who may display challenging behaviour.

*

Hold QTS – this is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from unqualified teachers, instructors, or youth workers with relevant experience.

*

Be a proactive and reflective practitioner, committed to continuous professional development and inclusive education.

*

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, both with students and staff teams.

Additional Requirements:

Due to the location of the provision (and possible travel across sites or off-site activities), a full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle would be highly beneficial. However, this is not essential for the right candidate.

This role would particularly suit someone with a background in:

*

Alternative provision or PRU settings

*

Youth work, mentoring, or pastoral support

*

SEN and SEMH-focused education

*

Behavioural support roles in educational or residential care settings

In Return, We Offer:

*

A supportive and experienced staff team who value collaboration and restorative practice.

*

A chance to make a real difference in the lives of students who may be disengaged from mainstream education.

*

Opportunities for professional development and career progression within a growing, inclusive organisation.

*

A varied and fulfilling role where no two days are the same.

If you are an enthusiastic, empathetic and skilled educator ready to take on a challenging but highly rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
