Health and Safety Administrator

Location: Norton Way Honda, Norton Way North, Letchworth, SG6 1BL

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Here at Norton Way Group we have a new and exciting position for a Health and Safety Administrator to join a busy Quality Management Team dealing with a range of Health and Safety areas.

Within the role you will be involved in the management of the Health and Safety procedures of the business, following company and manufacturer standards at all times.

Health and Safety Administrator Responsibilities:

This will involve dealing with Health and Safety queries efficiently, ensuring issues or incidents are dealt with in a prompt and timely manner.
You will over-see the completion of accident forms, referrals and any general queries that come through to the department. You will be required to process Accident and Incident forms updating all relevant documents on a regular basis and follow up on actions when required.
Audits & Risk assessments will be undertaken commensurate with experience. The role requires you to have an appreciation and understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality at all times, as you can be involved in sensitive situations.
It will be your responsibility to manage all staff Health and Safety issues as they arise, ordering equipment if required and raising invoices where necessary.
You will also be responsible for maintaining all Health and Safety equipment, booking staff training and updating records accordingly, it will be your responsibility to promote a professional, positive attitude to the Health and Safety procedures across the business, at all times.
Health and Safety Administrator Requirements:

1-3 years previous experience in a similar role
Competent understanding of Health and Safety laws and regulations
Hold a current IOSH Qualification (Preferred)
Be looking to further your career by attending additional training through NEBOSH
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft office
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
You will enjoy working with in a team as well as be able to work independently taking initiative when required
