I am currently working with an exciting organisation who is looking to grow their team and recruit a Senior Developer to join on a full time basis the role is based in Central Birmingham,

they are offering very attractive salaries along with remote working with occasional visits to the office

As a Senior Systems Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and upgrading a variety of different business applications used across the firm.

This includes determining and identifying high-level functional and technical requirements, producing solution / technical design documents, and using these to develop software solutions.

The role also involves interacting with members of the Finance and IT teams to assist with the planning of project schedules and providing technical direction where appropriate.

As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for:

Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Creating and maintaining software documentation.
Maintaining, expanding and scaling existing applications where required.
Staying up to date with emerging technologies and applying them to operations and activities where suitable.
Updating and debugging existing programs to ensure a smooth user experience and a uniform look across a variety of platforms.
Taking ownership of major software related incidents.
Resolving 3rd line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, whilst maintaining a high degree of customer service.
Producing plans, schematics, wireframes and full documentation for all development work undertaken including new release notes for user population.
Ensuring the efficient packaging and deployment of software updates, patches and fixes. Essentials

Understanding web applications and how they work including: security, session management, utilising web services and best development practises.
Web development experience HTML/XHHTML, CSS, JavaScript,
Experience in integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
An understanding of server architecture.
Experience of Web User Interface design.
Successful track record of developing quality software applications and releasing production ready functionality.
Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
Experience developing high-level system design diagrams for design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Solid record of building and maintaining high quality, comprehensive software documentation.
An understanding of working with business users and stakeholders.
Solid experience of troubleshooting and problem solving. Desirable:

C#, ASP.NET, Java, python, SQL. React, Vue or Angular experience
