Company Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Closing Auditor is to review loan files prior to closing for accuracy and completeness and to work with various team members to schedule loans for closing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review loan files prior to closing to ensure all key documents are data points are completed and required by policy and procedure. - Validate third party documentation such as Wiring Instructions and Closing Protection Letter. - Conduct verbal verifications borrowers and employers within company and agency required time frames. - Effectively communicate internally and externally as it relates to the scheduling of loan closings. - Act in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Other duties as needed or required. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: - Strong inter-personal, organizational, time management, communication (verbal /written) and presentation skills required. - Technologically savvy, with the ability to work in varied systems. - Must be responsible, detailed-oriented, and maintain reliable follow-through. - Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work with enthusiasm in an environment of competing priorities. - Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment. - Extensive knowledge and experience of the mortgage industry, including regulations, mortgage loan products and mortgage systems a plus. - Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy requires. - Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment - Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal, and large group). - Ability to project a professional image. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Minimum 3 years of Mortgage Processing and/or Closing Experience required. - Bachelors degree a plus. - Experience working with Encompass LOS preferred.
