Responsibilities At the full performance level, you will provide a variety of administrative support services to the United States Attorneys Office. If selected, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed. Duties include: Ensuring that office operations are conducted effectively and efficiently Formulating and executing the support services budget Analyzing and studying trends of current computer, word processing, and information processing equipment technology for adaptation to the office Preparing a variety of reports Enforcing security requirements Overseeing property and equipment inventories Making purchases within delegated authority Maintaining recordsMust be able to attain and retain at least a level 1 (one) Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (F AC-C) as a federal contracting professional. FAC-C has specific training requirements with some courses online as well as classroom courses. To maintain a FAC-C, contract professionals are required to meet the continuous training requirement. Qualifications GS-9: To be eligible at the GS-9 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: specialized experience, education, OR a combination of education and experience. Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring a budget; providing administrative support services in areas such as space management, purchasing supplies and equipment, security, mail, records, reproduction services, office automation, information management, and communications hardware and software; monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures; reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate contract type. -or- Education One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., accounting, business, finance, contracts, or purchasing): a Masters or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B., or J.D.); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. -or- Combination of Education and Experience: Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year. GS-11: To be eligible at the GS-11 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: specialized experience, education, OR a combination of education and experience. Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience administering a budget; providing administrative support services in areas such as space management, purchasing supplies and equipment, security, mail, records, reproduction services, office automation, information management, and communications hardware and software; monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures; reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate contract type; developing and documenting acquisition strategy for procuring supplies and services; identifying support services issues, conducting investigations and preparing option papers to present findings; and negotiatingsettlements for changes, and approving contract payments. -or- Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., accounting, business, finance, contracts, or purchasing): a PhD. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. -or- Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. Only graduate education in excess of the first two years may be used to meet total qualification requirements. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
