SUMMARY The Director of Service and Products position is a critical role for the company. This individual will lead four departments of Bahnson Mechanical Systems, which includes the Service, Parts and Products and Controls departments as well as the Fabrication Shop. This individual should possess a strong business acumen, as well as technical knowledge, in all the above listed areas and a true entrepreneurial spirt for business growth and development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned. - Ensure each department of responsibility is fully staffed to ensure optimum performance levels. - Manage and direct department heads of the four departments of responsibility. - Manage financial and operational goals for each department of responsibility. - Create business plans with three-year targets. - Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the General Manager with recommendation for resolution. - Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. - Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Minimum 7-10 years related experience in mechanical industry. - High School diploma or GED required. - Bachelor of Science with an engineering, construction management, or Business management focus preferred; Masters in related field is a plus. - Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation. - Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines. COMPUTER SKILLS - Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel and Microsoft Project) - Familiarity with AutoCAD, and other electrical, technical, or construction programs. - Familiarity with project management/document control software. - Familiarity with construction/financial software packages. LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site and be an approved driver per company Fleet and Driver policy. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
