My client based in Stoke on Trent are on the lookout for a time served electrically biased maintenance engineer to join the team! The role consists of carrying on site breakdown repairs and fault finding alongside any installations, maintenance and inspections across a multitude of their different customers sites.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.00pm with 1/2 hour lunch break.

The suitable Maintenance Engineer Must have:

* Full UK driving Licence

* Experience of electrically biased engineering

* 18th Edition Regulation Certificate

The Suitable Maintenance Engineer will:

* have time served mechanical engineering or electrical qualifications within a manufacturing environment.

* Previous Experience in a customer facing field service role, preferably within a similar industry

* The ability / knowledge to make decisions on site which are in the interests of both the company and the customer

* Excellent communication skills

* Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative

* The ability to read mechanical / electrical drawings.

* You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.

* Reactive and planned maintenance skills.

* Problem solving / breakdown analysis.

* A level of PLC fault finding skills. (Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens S5 / S7)

* Good electrical installation skills.

* Basic mechanical problem solving.

* Proactive approach to engineering.

* PLC qualification an advantage.
