Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Reports to: Plant Quality Manager
Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: £19 p/h

Working on a 6 month fixed contract with strong potential to be taken on a permanent contract.

Position Overview / Purpose:
Working in a busy quality department, supporting the Production team to ensure zero-defect outputs and driving a right first time culture and approach. You will be a pivotal liaison between the facility and its customers, ensuring communication is accurate and regular, upholding the highest standards of output, in-line with regulatory and customer requirements.

Main responsibilities:
•Responsible for control and management of all routine Quality Assurance tasks
•Lead and influence quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction
•Assist production within the resolution of non-conformances, providing timely investigation into the root cause and work closely with shop floor personnel to understand improvement opportunities
•Collaboration with site management team to continually improve projects, processes, and daily activities
•Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
•Reporting of KPIs, data analysis to support investigations and monthly analysis
•Conducting internal audits to customer and internal documentation, be able to verify and file the evidence of the reviews
•Development of quality standards and control system
•Development of corrective actions, monitoring progress for closure
•Review of customer quality specifications and implementation within internal systems, manage records
•Ability to represent PST during customer visits, communicate clearly
•Liaise with suppliers and external service providers
•FMEA management, provide input on process steps and risks
•Provide training and support to shop floor personnel, coach, and mentor on quality subjects

Other duties as required
•Pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
•Fix things that you can see need fixing
•Identify problems and find solutions

Key Incumbent Requirements:
•Must have the right to work in UK
•Must have minimum 3 years' experience working in Quality
•Experience working in ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
•Internal audit training
•Be able to understand and interpret technical drawings
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Analytical and problem-solving skills

Any of the following additional experience advantageous:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Knowledge of Human factors and Part 145 regulatory experience
Nadcap experience
Project management skills
Lead auditor preferably
Ideally have aerospace industry experience
Previous experience of Lean activities
FMEA experience

Statistical knowledge (working knowledge of Minitab)

The candidate will have demonstrable ability to deliver their responsibilities in line with safety, quality and productivity targets. They will have highly effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Thermal spray coatings industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
