Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Primary School, Oxford
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: £90 - £105 per day

September 2025 start

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly primary school in Oxford. This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers to support the learning and well-being of pupils.

Assist individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Support pupils both in the classroom and during other school activities, such as break and lunchtime.

Requirements:

Must hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Must have the right to work in the UK.

A genuine passion for working with children in a school setting.

Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

Desirable:

Experience working with children in a school or educational environment.

Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is beneficial but not essential.
