1st Shift: Mon - Fri, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM


The oven attendant maintains the efficient flow of production and distribution of goods by processing factory work orders from WIP. This includes, but is not limited to, operation of post cure ovens and tracking part data and location in Oracle.


* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and packaging finished goods in stock and recording the location of inventory in the Oracle Database.

* Locates and tracks finished goods by using an established pull system, verifying packaging information listed on the production orders.

* Maintains Post Cure Oven, records curing time data into the post cure database.

* Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for post cure.

* Adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment.

* Inspects finished goods for defective splits, tears, cured stock, and twist.

* Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

* Documents inspection results by completing scrap reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into Oracle Database.

* Keeps measurement equipment in good operating condition.

* Maintains in-process inventory at the designated work area by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

* Documents WIP hourly on the Line Status Board Sheet.

* Receives WIP for oven process from production by verifying materials, part quantity, curing time, and move tickets, and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.

* Prepares finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. Able to perform 1st articles on manufactured components.

* Documents product shipment by recording units shipped per standard work instructions.

* Contributes to team safety initiatives, performs Kaizen events, maintains 5S standards, and assist the shipping dock whenever necessary.

Required Skills


* High school diploma, or equivalent GED.

* Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.

* Analytical abilities necessary to plan and prioritize work based on schedule and deadlines, and maintain required records and logs.

* Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.

* Knowledge of Oracle, or the ability to learn Oracle to record part data, and maintain inventory locations.

* Ability to inspect parts for damage and defects, and ability to conduct minor repairs on WIP components.

* Ability to suggest improvements to process efficiency and safety.


* Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.

* Ability to walk, move about, stoop, and bend.

* Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

* Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, and manual dexterity to pick up and examine parts closely.

* Normal or corrected vision necessary to closely examine parts, distinguish colors, and read directions.


Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors, and temperature.
